Funcional Audiological Results in Tympanomastoidectomies

Abstract:
The authors studied 40 successive patients, who had been undergone a Tympanomastoidectomie. This study was undertaken to compare the audio grams before and after the surgery, correlating the data with pathology, the age and sex from patients. It was observed that 75% of the cases had no chance, or had a small improvement of the hearing, and in the old patients, there are more chance of the neurossensorial loss.
