Abstract:
The sphenoid sinus was dissected in 50 adult bodies, which were separated in groups according to age, sex, rate and side (left or right). After that, the data were statistically studied according to the groups above mentioned. In each case, the relationship between the sinus and near structures was established. The main near structures were: optic nerves, maxilar nerves, vidian nerves, internal carotid artery, sella turcica and anterior cranial fosse.
