Abstract:
The authors present a case of a 70 yeas old man with progressive hoarseness due to a laryngeal polyp. Excisional biopsy proved the mass to be a plasmacytoma. Electron microscopy demostrated cells with large endoplasmic reticulum, characteristic of plasmacytes. Late date examination of the patient did not reveal dissemination of the neoplasia. The patient received adjuvant radiotherapy and is still free of symptoms.
