Abstract:
The etiologic diagnosis of non infectious pharyngeal symptoms are very difficult. The clinical diagnoses allergic or chronic phatyngitis is frequent. In this report we evaluated 17 patients with pharyngeal complains and only two had positive allergic tests. Seven had gastroesophageal reflux and in six the diagnosis was not made. We concluded that the allergic factor can be present, but not without nasal symptoms.
