Temporal bone traumatic neurinoma. Case report.

Abstract:
The authors present a case of traumatic temporal bone neuroma with an extremely rare localization. Female with hipoacusia in right ear since an year ago. She has been submited to many treatments for Eustachian tube disfunction. We decided to place a ventilation tube into the tympanic membrane. In the imediate pos operative time she developed persistent serous otorrhea. The biochemical examination revealed that the liquid was CRL. The patient referred a frontal trauma 7 years ago. In high resolution CT scan we observed a mass comming from middle fossa. With the diagnosis of CRL leak and probable dura hernia, she was submited to mastoidectomy. The anatomo pathological exam resulted in neuroma. The probable etiology of this tumor is traumatic one.
