Abstract:
Conventional systems of electronystagmography to study vestibular induced nystagmus are time consuming and require a complete manual analysis of the paper output. With the amazing development of microelectronics in the last years computerized systems of electronystagmography are no longer used just in a few major research laboratories. Digital processing of ENG data gives higher accuracy and speedy the ENG analysis. However, commercial computerized ENG systems are still expensive and therefore, underused in many countries. We present a new computerized ENG system developed for an MM-PC 286 or higher with a cost similar to conventional ENG systems.
