Otoacustic Emissions: Distortion Products.

Abstract:
The authors observed the DPOAE's in a group of 74 ears of young adults with normal hearing and unremarkable past ototogical histoty. The findings indicated that DPOAE represents an eficient method of evaluating cochlear hearing. This enables the elaboration of a graph called DPGram. A graph of the normal amplutude of response at 0,5, 1, 2, 4, and 8 kHz was elaborated based on the above findings. Results were comparable in both ears.
