Malignant External Otitis : The Importance of ELISA's Test

Abstract:
The authors related a case of young man, non-diabetic, HIV positive, who presented a malignant external otitis (MEO). Clinical aspects, diagnostic procedures and therapeutics aspects of disease are discussed. They conclude that MEO may be associeted with HIV infection and sugest that ELISA's test should be done for all patients with diagnosis of malignant external otitis.
