Iatrogenic Choanal Stenosis. Case Report.

Abstract:
The authors report a 43 years old female, with severe choanal obstruction due to bilateral choanal stenosis, with septal perforation and left nasal valve stenosis due to septoplasty with inferior bilateral turbinectomy at another Medical Training Service. The diagnoses was made by flexible endoscopy and CT scan. This pathology was corrected by transpalatine pathway. The iatrogenies are in general not reported at scientific literature, once searchers prefer to report the successes rather than failures. Nevertheless, it is very important to show to the scientific community the failures, complications and iatrogenies specially due to surgical acts made by people without adequated trainning or without image magnification, now available by microscopy or the endoscopy.
