Abstract: A 58 years old male patient presented with mucocele of the middle ear. The difficulty of the differential diagnosis with chronic otitis media is related and the value of the CT scan is pointed out. The possibility of the peripheric facial paralysis suffered by the patient is related with de compression of the facial nerve in its tympanic segment by the "mucocele cyst" is mentioned.
