Abstract: External ethmoidectomy treatment of epistaxis and optic nerve localization, may demand the approach of the medial orbital wall. Difficulties concerning the identification of structures in the region, such as anterior and posterior ethmoidal arteries, may jeopardize the accomplishment of surgical proceedings.
Mesures were when among reference points in the medial orbital wall by using crania of adult beings with the purpose to provide a better knowledge of the surgical anatomy of the region. Proper notions concerning distances and relations among structures of the medial orbital wall allow safe identification of ethmoidal arteries and facilitate the localization of the other closer structures.
