Bacteriological Study of Middle Ear Secretion in Children with Cronical Otitis Media.

Abstract: Fifty one middle ear secretion were analised bacteriologically from 29 children in the age of 1 year and 8 months to 12 years and diagnostic of cronical secretory otitis media refractory of clinical treatment. 1t was achieved bacterial growth in 23,5% of the cultores with predomination of Staphilococcus aureus (41,7%), followed by Streptococcits pneumoniae (16,7%), Haemophilus influenzae (8,3%) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (8,3%). There was no growth of anaerobic bacteria.
