Abstract: The otoacoustic emissions play are important role among the audiologic examinations for the differential diagnosis between the coclear and retrococlear pathology. The purpose of this investigation was to study one hundred subjects from 18 to 33 years old, with normal hearing through the DP-Gram and DP Growth Rate, the otoacoustic emissions by distortion product as to the occurrency, the amplitude characteristics and the time spent to perform the examination. The equipment utilized was the ILO 92 Otodynamic Analizer. It was noted that the ocurrency was 100% in the tested frequencies, the distortion products mean amplitude in DP-Gram varied from 5,27 to 14,35 dB SPL. In the DP Growth Rate when the coclea was stimulated at 70 dB SPL, the meara amplitude varied from 4,65 to 17,55 dB SPL during the tested frequencies. The average time of the tests performance was 2 minutes and 27 seconds.
