Abstract: One hundred and four patients with chronic maxillary sinusites (151 maxillary sinus) undenwent both radiological and antroscopic investigations for comparison. Interval was as far as7days.In 36,6% of cases was with concordance, 27,8% moderate concordante and 35, 7% discordate. Standard plain sinus radiographs interpretation is difficult. Sinus correlation of radiological and endoscopic findings is not always present. Our results indicate that endoscopic assessment of the maxillary sinus is the most sensitive and specific modality currendy available for diagnosis, and even treatment, of chronic sinusitis.
