Abstract: A prospective study over a one-year period of 477 patients treated for otorhinolaryngological foreign body (FB) accidents was undertaken, in order to establish the incidente. About 69.0% of these patients were 12 years of age or younger. The male-female ratio was 1.08:1. About 48.0% of the removed FB were otological, 30.6% were nasal and 21.4% were pharyngeal. A single procedure removed successfully the FB in all the patients. About 24.5% of the patients with otological FB, 19.9% with nasal FB and 0% with pharyngeal FB presented some complication.
