Endoscopy Treatment of Chagasic Megaesophagus - Report of 70 cases

Abstract: In the South-American countries, the Chagas disease is the mainly origin of megaesophagus and megacolo acquiring. There are many twhnics of treatment. The autores try to explain the dilatation of inferiorsfincter of the esophagus witlá pneuma tic baloon of Rusch, responsible for the rupture of the muscle fibras of thesfineter. Afterthe accompany of Chagasic megaesophagus, subjected to the endoscopic treatment throught the dilatation with pneumatic ballon of Rusch with radioscopic control, where considered paliative, althought a good choice to the patients with high age, without sutgery condition or that doesn't accept surgery.
