Abstract: Nonspecific granulomas of the larynx still represent a challenge to the otorhinolaryngologists by several reasons: a lack of better understanding of etiopathogenic factors, the discussion concerning the best approach of treatment and the high rates of recurrences. The authors review a series of 20 patients with nonspecific granulomas of the larynx seen during the past 10 years (19831992) and make conclusions regarding etiology, pathology and treatment. They emphasize the work of the team approach (otorhinolaryngologist and speech therapist) to get a succesful treatment.
