Abstract: Congenital infiltrating lipomatosis of the face is characterized by collections of nonencapsulatec, mature lipocytes which infiltrate local tissues and tend to recur after surgery. It is a rare clinical entity with about 6 cases described in the literature. Surgical treatment is recommended and the main purpose is to improve the esthetic look of the patient rather than to eradicate the tumor. One case of the disease is presented and the clinical, histopathologic and treatment aspects are reviewed.
