Abstract: Children with long-term tracheotomy may present dif cult management problems. The management of these infants and children requires the coordination of, a number of health providers including otorhinolaringologists, pediatricians, nursing services and social workers. With intensive instruction, monitoring and humidification and suctioning equipment, home care of children with tracheotomy can be successful.
