Abstract: The laboratories that process homografts have to be careful about the sterilization of the material for implants. On this work a sterility test was dope for bacteria and fungi of 55 samples of 4 % buffered formaldeyde solution used for conservation and sterilizatiom of otologic homografts processed at the Tissues Bank for Otologic Implants. The period was from 26 days to 9 years. The results obtained are presented as well as a comment about tire solution used in homografts conservation.
