Abstract: The authors describe a child's case that presented pulmonary hypertension and cor pulmonale secondary to an obstructive sleep apnea caused by severe hypertrophy of tonsils and adenoids, where the airways desobstruction resulted in a clinical improvement with a significant reduction of the cardiac area. Our objective by mentioning this case report is to alert the development of cardiovascular complications as a result of hypertrophied tonsil and adenoids. |
