Abstract: Introduction: The otoacoustic emissions reflect the functional status of the cochlea. As the acoustic information transmission even on afferent as efferent path depends On the conditions like the middle ear integrity, there are many factors that may regulate the final otoacoustic emission register. Aim: This study aims to verify the differences between the cochlear responses collected by TOAE and DPOAE in normally middle ear function, young adults and elderly regarding the amplitude in both conditions. Results: The results of 40 ears of 20-25 years of 20 young adults and, 30 ears of 60-75 years elderly adults with no auditory complaints and normal audiological findings were analyzed. Conclusion: By comparison the registers of the TOAS were more affected than DPOAE even in young as elderly people.
