                 Abstract: Necrotizing sialometaplasia is a benign inflamatory process ocurring most commonly in salivary glands. It is a rare disease of unknow etiology. Its histologic features can simulate malignancy, specially squamous cell carcinoma. A 49 year old man presented with tumor of his left parotid and underwent parcial parotidectomy which revealed necrotizing sialometaplasia. |
