Youth's Habits and Hearing Thresholds in Relation to Electronicafy Amplified Music by Sound Equipments with Ear-Phones.

Abstract: In order to estimate the youth's habits in relation to eletronicaIly amplified music as use of sound equipments with ear phones, and also estimate the hearing threshold levels of young men wh o utilize these equipments, 957 students between 14 and 26 years old were analised trough questionary and audiometry. The author concluded that the majority expose themselves to MAI and found no significant differences in relation to sex and age in those who exclusively and more frequendy are exposed to MAI. This also happened with the number of subjects with impaired hearing threshold between this and the control group.
