Abstract: The authors present a case of a 70-yeard-old man with progressive hoarseness due to a laryngeal polyp. Excisional biopsy proved the mass to be a plasmacytoma. Electron microscopy demonstrated cells with large endoplasmic reticulum characteristic of plasmacytes. Additional examination of the patient did not reveal dissemination of the neoplasia. The patient received adjuvant radiotheropy and is still free of disease.
