Abstract: Meatoplasty, a surgical procedure for the opening of the external auditory canal, essential during the postoperativeperiod of several otologic surgeries, will be discussed in thispaper. Its indications, advantages and limitations will be described, along with the presentation of our operative technique, which although it is not innovative, is safe and of easy execution.
