Open Study of the Efficacy, Security and Tolerability of Azithromycin in the Treatment of Streptococal Pharyngitis/ Tonsilitis in Pediatric Patients.

Abstract: The Streptococcal pharyngitis-tonsillitis is very common during childbearing. In this study, 33 pediatric patients were evaluated and treated with azithromycin, a new antibiotic, to assess its effectiveness, safety and tolerability. The authors conclued that azitromycin has an efective, safe and well tolerated use in Streptococcal pharyngitis-tonsillitis and it also offers a very easy posology for the patient.
