Abstract: This paper deals with a retrospective study of 1,692 endonasal microsurgeries, among which seploplasties, turbinectomies and polypectomies, carried out belween 1975 and 1990. The analysis correlates the type of surgery with patient's sex and age, surgical procedures and equipment utilized, results and complications recorded. The paper concludes that, as far as septoplastiae are concerned selective reconstruction is the recommended approach. In turbinectomies, wide exereses are efficient in most cases, presenting few complications in either early or late post-operatory cycles.
