Abstract: Ossifying fibroma is a rare benign tumor that affects young adults. Its orign is essencialy in the maxillary and mandibullary bones, long bones are less affected, the compromise of the temporal bone is very rare. The authors describe a case of an young adult with diagnosis of ossifying fibroma of the temporal bone and review of the literature. The clinical, radiological and histologic caracteristics are discussed, as well as the differential diagnosis with fibrous displasia and terapeutic approaches.
