Abstract: Internal jugular vein trombosis is an unnusual vascular disorder that is easily overlooked or misdiagnosed. It results from diverse clinical conditions which alter vascular blood flow, induce endothelial damage, or increase systemic coagulability. We report two cases of internal jugular vein thrombosis presenting as a neck mass of sudden onset, that show us the importance of this diagnosis for Otolaryngology.
