Abstract: Hearing was studied among 50 telephone operators with age between 35 and 50, who have been working with single earphones and six hours a day. it was compared with control group formed by women with the same age and non-exposed to high intensity noise. Hearing loss incidence in both groups and the risk of occupational hearing loss in the study group was established.
