Abstract: In the past years, with the development of endoscopic endonasal surgery, treatment of lacrimal obstruction has been performed by ENT surgeons. Endonasal DCR has proven to be safe and effective, with a sucesss rate over 90%, what is comparable to the effectiveness of the external approach. The advantages of Chis technique includes a better preservation of nasal anatomy and function and the possibility to avoid an extemal excision. The endonasal approach also preserves the orbital structures and the lacrimal system function.
